Intervise recently affirmed its commitment to educational initiatives by making a five-year pledge of $60,000 in support of scholarships on behalf of the University System of Maryland Foundation, the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). Additionally, Intervise presented a $500 scholarship to two deserving Gaithersburg High School graduates on behalf of The National Academy of Information Technology scholarship fund.

In support of our military personnel, Intervise adopted Ryan Simpkins, Aircrew Egress Systems Technician, U.S. Air Force, who is stationed at Barksdale AFB and is a nephew of an Intervise employee.  Ryan was assigned at Andersen AFB in Guam for four months. While Ryan was stationed in Guam, Intervise employees sent over a care package of goodies to Ryan and his flight crew so that they could experience a little taste of home.

In December 2009 Intervise staff participated in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. The mission of the program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
